Way to complain about your free e-mail service. You are welcome to move to hotmail...
They had to make some concessions in order to provide free e-mail service while minimizing the load on their data centers. If you think that the programmers at google couldn't figure out how to display more e-mails per page or sort them with a single click then you are fooling yourself. They have been turning out some of the most innovative and well designed software in recent times. (with android on the verge of busting open the mobile platform industry)
Seriously, try setting up a mail client with smtp, pop or imap. If that is too complicated for you then you probably shouldn't be on this message board talking smack about google's programmers.
