Absolutely
I agree completely.

The actions of any business entity in an environment that is *poor* in strong, credible competition has a predictable air about it: that is to say, that Intel is doing what any other large, ultra-profitable multi-national would do given the *lack* of any strong, sustained and viable alternatives in the form of business competitors.

Having said this, i do believe that policing the actions of such dominant market enterprises is necessary to ensure that consumers are not left with an over-priced and oppressive market place.

All power to the likes of Intel: they deserve the great dominance and success they are experiencing. However, if ultimately we as consumers are left with exorbitantly priced - and decreasingly *less improved* new products - based purely on market dominance and the absence of true competition to influence more competitive behaviour and pricing, than we as consumers ultimately all pay the price - literally.

Sincerely.
