Predatory pricing: Predatory pricing is an old trick to get your competitors out of the market. It then allows the dominant supplier to raise prices to whatever level they want. I have seen it in the past in the power cable industry. The consumers suffer but the supplier makes huge profits. Only governments have the power to restrain this type of action and that is the idea behind the EUs action.
