Background of ZDNet journalists
Though I don't have extensive knowledge of the backgrounds of all journalists whose bylines appear on ZDNet, I know enough to know that they, like me, stand 100 percent behind a commitment to objectivity and independence in what we write. This story was no different. Contrary to what the previous remark implies, I wasn't even contacted by any vendors about this story. Instead, I saw a news story about enterprise service buses, and not knowing *anything* about them, I decided to call some companies that I knew to be working on ESB technology. The goal of this column was not to endorse any one particular vendor or vendor's product. It was to help readers understand what is meant when they encounter the term ESB and, given its architectural implications, how to be think about future deployments that involve systems integration with Web services. That said, we appreciate all of the feedback, especially from discriminating readers like you.
