And in urban areas...?

Maybe getting outside is great in New Mexico. But in an urban area, I'd rather that my kids want to hang out indoors and enjoy themselves with a few friends, rather than hanging out on the street, bored out of their minds and causing mischief. As they say, idle minds...

At the end of the day, a tax on videogames is not going to change peoples purchasing (or behavioral) habits. It does set a dangerous precedent with regard to freedom of speech and targeted taxes. I expect the bottom line is that it's more about trying to find new sources of revenue for programs, and current unrest about videogame play makes it an easier new target.
