Read it right, but you're right too
As Americans we tend to have a colonialist / superior attitude. For too long we've relied on maintaining cheap labor, and its concurrent problems, overseas.
The Brits, Yankees, Canadians, and Aussies were the first to go into the industrialization cycle. Now we are on the far side and the Asians are going through the cycle. We have to decide to either put them down for wanting what we have, or help them realize their dreams while helping ourselves.
The choice seems obvious to me but how do we lead without arrogance?
