I don't get it.
The things that we spend the most of our money on are hardly "sexy". Just as there's nothing "sexy" about my electricity, there's also nothing sexy about my mortgage, water & sewage, or waste removal. And yet there are vital infastructure functions that make our modern life possible.

Yes, it's true that many, if not most people will be interested in the latest iPhone instead of the details of where their electricity is coming from. All they really care about is that when they hit a switch, that the lights come on. Oh sure, they pay lip service to "being green" and all, but they are content to leave the details up to someone else.

And I also believe that the ratings for "Entertainment Tonight" will always be 1000% greater than those for "How things work".
