You pay more for electricity but you save on gas. There is a savings if the car wasn't 100k. But a Porsche is just as expensive.

That is true, but misleading. The car if gas powered would pollute a lot more per mile. Gas engines are not efficient.

This is more BS just rephrased. A power plant is 45% efficient whereas a gas engine is only 20% efficient. It makes more sense to let the power plant pollute instead of the car. The electric motor on the car is 90% efficient so the pollutants per mile are lower when the power plant is the tailpipe.

That is the best reason to get these in mass production. The motors are brushless so this is even better. Not only that, they develop constant high torque from 0 rpm to redline and are quieter.



We will have to upgrade the grid for the added current and add a few powerplants. Make them windmills and CIGS solar. The biggest problem is, we don't have any Henry Fords any more to be willing to lower profits and make it up in volume. Blame Wall Street for eternal growth doubling profits every quarter.
