It's funny you're pointing out the United Nations.

Different countries have different views on what is and is not acceptable.

Whose standards are we going to follow in this new "internationalism"? US? (America is a continent not a country)

Sooner or later the world's going to come up with a requirement that the US doesn't like and "internationalism", like the UN, Bretton-Woods and Kyoto Protocols gets sidelined.

The rest of the world is out there too you know. Anybody who hasn't visited Chinese sites won't know just how many of them there are.
