Who Really Loses
For the price they're asking, Redmond will have to practically cannibalize the Yahoo assets (both financial and intellectual). Microsoft historically does not let absorbed companies survive in recognizable fashion. Figure goodbye to Yahoo Groups and Yahoo Mail (which has the best interface among Hotmail, Yahoo and Google). The losers? Yahoo and you (well at least me as a Yahoo user).
