Nuclear waste would not be a problem if it only produced waste which was toxic in the short-term.
And how disingenuous, seeking to quantify the production of nuclear waste by citing "one family over its lifetime".
What is the lifetime of a family? Til the kids leave home? State your numbers.
Then explain why you choose "a familuy" as opposed to a power hungry industrial concern which will consume megawatts per day.
Finally, I challenge you to list the by-products of Nuclear power generation along with their half-lives.
