We can maximize profits by reintroducing slavery. By all means, let's sell Viagra to maximize our profits while the world burns. I've read there are many health problems that could be alleviated by inexpensive drugs, but the drug industry has little interest in making and selling such drugs. Capitalism and the "market" are good for some things, but not everything.
