I purchased the Everex gPC for $198 from Walmart and for the most part have been pleasantly surprised. The firefox browser occasionally hangs (I'm guessing due to certain flash/other scripts running on certain web pages), and it's definitely a little slower (browsing) than my pc (operating on the same network). (The disparity in memory may be the culprit (the PC has 3 GB and the Everex has 512MB)). The only other issue I have is getting my IPOD working properly (the system recognizes the ipod as a drive but itunes won't see it). All other plug and play devices (e.g. printers) have worked flawlessly. Having said that, for a complete, brand new system which uses and creates MS Office documents (using the OpenOffice.org applications) and has which full internet capabilities, and 24/7 support for under $200, you won't hear me complaining one bit.
