- Is the Chinese culture that different or does the goverment just not get it

A gaming addiction is a choice. people choose to take video games to an unhealthy extreme. If someone is going to be so stupid as to take gaming to the point where they lose their life over it, then that's something we call 'reaping and sowing'.
I realize that the Chinese government is inherently different from the US goverment, as is the culture, but in this case there is a line between culture and common sense. Forcing legal adults to not partake of an activity that is not inherently detrimental to others or society as a whole is imprudent and can very easily backfire.
