the computer because you have obviously been exposed to some sort cleaning solvent.
I don't recall ANY law (not even the draconian DMCA) making it a crime to prevent apps from phoning home.

While a vendor may make a program inoperable if it can't cannot connect to some evil, information stealing server, it is not illegal yet to be able to control ALL input and output from my computer.(in the US anyway happy
