- I don't dispute that there's global warming
-
I just hope that we take the 'correct' approaches to dealing with it (both the natural and man-made parts), because addressing it wrong may be just as bad, . . but that's a discussion rarely given press now that Al Gore's movie is a tour de force of truth and the global way. What I would preach is fight global pollution, not so much this banner of global warming, because that seems to be an impossible goal, to fight not only the man-made effect but natures and the solar system's impact. Let's strive for clean water, air and land, recycle and reuse, employ technologies that reclaim waste and most importantly to me, use hippies as an alternative fuel source.
As for the scientists, this is a classic flip. Global warming proponents were early blacklisted and chastised for their opinions and relatively new data, . . now that the feel is that the science and tools are sound, the results are as well, so why let others speak against it, why discuss it or entertain side causes and effects, . . . why not treat those other scientists as poorly as they were treated?
And if you throw in religion, well, the almighty will work it out that the good will be well off and the rest are a burning mess, . . . science is not the solution. - Posted by: Boot_Agnostic Posted on: 12/27/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
