Yep, the truth.
CO2 levels in the atmosphere are rising because of (1) increased production by fossil fuel combustion, (2) decreased reuptake by deforestation, and (3) ocean warming, which is largely a result of increased CO2 in the atmosphere (this is called a "positive feedback loop"). These may not be the only reasons, but they are ones which can be traced directly to industrialization and a disregard of its effects on climate change for the last 200 years (particularly the last 50). The sky is falling. I would rather not have to "survive climate change" if we can prevent (or, minimize, now) it.
