There is no way that this very website could exist with basic HTML. You would not be
able to post comments with basic HTML.

The days of coding for different browsers are not long gone, they never left. We just
don't use stupid badges anymore. We're trying to make it easier on the user, which
clearly is working since you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes.

I'm just stating what's really happening.
