I find it amusing that in a single paragraph, you state that "the decision should lie with the real experts", and then in the very next sentence disqualify that statment with "many of them have been bought...". So that approach seems pointless.

Abd you agree with me on ethenol. So, given all of this, I really don't understand how you could then go ahead and advocate the exact same approach with alternative energy; let's let the exact same corrupt politicians bestow market-distorting economic incentives on another group of special interest recipients, all in the name of screwing big oil. Wow, sounds like good policy to me!

No. Let's stop the madness. Stop subsidizing everything and let the marketplace decide what the best solution is going to be. The taxpayers will be better off. The consumers will be better off, and even the environment will be better off. The only people who will not be are the politicians and the K-streeters. And frankly, they're the only ones who's well being I couldn't care less about.
