Citizens are going to end up paying one way or other.
Such is the sad state of education in our country today that this kind of nonsensical debate even takes place. Either consumers are going to foot the bill via their utility bill, or via their tax bill. There is no free lunch.

I think this story perfectly illustrates what is really happening behind the scenes in the quest for guilt-free power: It's money. It's about who's going to profit from the disequalibrium introduced into the marketplace by government fiat.

The only thing I can tell you for sure is who the losers are going to be; consumers, and probably even the environment.
