That's why Gates is rich, and Gartner is amusing

If the people at Gartner ever had any imagination, it disappeared long ago. You are as likely to get a llok ahead from an accountant's cost cutting suggestions as from them.

The game market is just a mild prototype for the ways in which a technology like this could be used. With the Boomers losing strength in their arms and legs, this is the sort of technology which could well be used to control the sorts of robotics and augmentation which Japan, Russia and others are moving ahead on. A gizmo you need to attach to your hand, or hold in your hand, or push with your hand will never be as intutive, nor as easy to use, nor as difficult to lose, as your own bare hands.
