Something tells me we were better off...
When politicians didn't know what a computer was and they kept their hands off of it.

From my view point, the tech industry is doing just fine and they need no new tax welfare. There are several competing technologies (WiMAX and BoPL) to cover rural areas and they need a chance to bear fruit, WITHOUT government interferance.
