RE: Peru signs up for 260,000 OLPC laptops
I watched Q and A (TV Program) on satellite the other day and they were interviewing Nicholas Negroponte, a very interesting fellow to listen to. His commitment to this project beyond all adversity, ridicule, scorn and naysayers is beyond admirable. He has taken a dream and made it a reality and it will change the world (considerably more than the overhyped Segway).

In discovering he also funded WIRED as a startup I was again impressed with his deeds to date. Not to miss mention of a long and equally fruitful career at MIT. With this project underway I think we have a new candidate that is a sure bet on the Nobel Peace Prize the next go-around.

Thank you Mr. Negroponte.
