Not an apple user just a tech
I have been making my living as a tech/network admin and so far the best Desktop pc regardless of cost is Apple with OS X. The least expensive option that is good enough is a Windows based pc.
After that probably some Distro of Linux (Lycrois, Mandrake or SUSE) Microsoft is losing this "war of the desktop" because it forgot the customer. Greed has colored their eyes. They will fall but then again that is the nature of things. Companies all fail some last a hundred years and others do not make it past their 10th year. But in the end All companies fail because they lose sight of the customer and fail to change.
