The percentage of Linux...
desktops v. Windows is reflection of a larger picture. In the 12+ years that I have been a MS small OEM, it is more than clear that about 2% of those involved in IT, user, techs, and especially analysts, actually understand IT. The other 98% have adopted Windows because they don't know enough to make sound judgements.

I've made a decent living selling and supporting MS's software. But only a blind man cannot see that Microsoft has thumbed their nose at the consumer to persue a self-serving agenda. And in the process, their software has become one of the most dangerous consumer products ever sold on the open market. The $billions in damages is proof positive that Microsoft has lost touch with reality. And most of their faithful following has obviously never had a grasp on reality in the first place. Those who did understand and continue to hang with MS, are hoping for some type of miracle. I have begun a push into Linux because MS is losing market share and respect among more and more true IT professionals.

Had Mike turned me onto his wonderful rep, like I asked him to, maybe I would see differently. This will definitely hurt his chances for "Man of the Year"!
