I think you're right but, execs don't look beyond 24 months
I see you're data but if the talent shortage of 1999-2000 is any indication, executives do not look beyond 24 months. Arguably, do they look beyond 12 months. They appease wall street - which is short term focused.

It is a sad state of affairs. In 1999-2000 it was impossible to hire good talent. We will likely see the same in coming years - which is sort of good news/bad news depending on where one lies in the labor supply/demand equation.
