while I agree that pebble bed reactors are the way to go, since they are the safest and cleanest, the problem lies with the fact that like oil, there is a limited amount of nuclear material around.
So while nuke would be an excellent stop gap it's not the end solution that solar, wind and wave are. Those three are ever present and truly renewable. In other words they are the future if we wish to continue with the comforts we have now.
