Not the nuclear boogeyman!!

I hear ya. Nuclear IS the way to go. But too many people are still freaked out about Three Mile Island almost 30 years ago, and Chernobyl over 20 years back now.

Yes, IF things go horribly wrong, it IS horribly bad. But the safety record of nuclear plants is darned near spotless! Cheap, non-polluting energy is where we should be going. And judging TODAY'S plants on the technology of A) 30 years ago and B) Russian technology of 20 years ago is like saying you would NEVER buy one of those useless, unreliable ***-scrap Toyotas because ... well, they were HORRIBLE cars 25 years ago. Rusted out quick and broke down often. Yep, that's today's Toyota, eh?
