"I've always taken claim to my code, good or bad"

So what is your message? That you are a
Microsoft programmer?

Can we quote you on that?

Yep, you are a real man, in the same
category as Bill Gates when he made these
statements:

"There are no significant bugs in our
released software that any significant
number of users want fixed".
Focus Magazine No. 43 (23 October 1995)

"Microsoft programs are generally bug-free.
If you visit the Microsoft
hotline, you'll literally have to wait weeks
if not months until someone
calls in with a bug in one of our programs.
99.99% of calls turn out to
be user mistakes".

"I know not a single less irrelevant reason
for an update than bugfixes.
The reasons for updates are to present more
new features".

"No, the best way to prepare is to write
programs, and to study
great programs that other people have
written. In my case, I went to the
garbage cans at the Computer Science Center
and I fished out listings of
their operating system".

"We're responsible for the creation of the
PC industry. The whole idea of compatible
machines and lots of software.. that's
something we brought to computing. And so
it's a responsibility for us to make sure

head screwed on wrong".

Here's one the Mac users will really
appreciate: "To create a new standard, it
takes something that's not just a little bit
different; it takes something that's really
new and really captures people's imagination
— and the Macintosh, of all the machines
I've ever seen, is the only one that meets
that standard".

So hold your head high, Zuny, you're in the
company of a real great man.

I just must throw in this last quote by
Ronald Reagan: "The Goliath of
totalitarianism will be brought down by the
David of the microchip".
