The media again lied - I've seen videos of Kerry specifically stating he WOULD indeed repeal SOME provisions of the Patriot Act.

Then again, the New York Times isn't what I would call reliable media anymore, especially after that Blair incident. Not to mention how a couple of weeks ago, the NYT posted on it's front page that Bush "owes the nation an apology" because there was "no link between Al Qaida and Saddam" and that "he had based his entire reasons for war on it".

1) Bush owes no one an apology for going to war in Iraq - those who can't see how Iraq plays a bigger picture in the war on terrorism are simply ignorant (then again, they don't believe there is a war on terrorism either...)

2) The 9/11 Commission never said there was NO link between Al Qaida and Saddam, what they said was that Saddam played no DIRECT link in the 9/11 attacks. There is PLENTY of evidence that Saddam WAS linked to Al Qaida (hell, Gore even said there was a link back in 1992).

3) Wait a minute, the whole reason Bush went to war in Iraq was a link between Saddam and Al Qaida over the 9/11 attacks? Sheesh, all this time I thought it was because of Saddam attempting to covet WMD! You remember WMD's don't you? I find it interesting how the NYT is trying to rewrite history now that THEY'VE BEEN FOUND!
