Early adoption always cost more
"What about all of us that paid the 599.00 for the dang thing?"

This is true with anything. From computers to movies. It regularly happens to me when I buy a movie for $24 only to find 6 moths later I can get it for $8 in a bargain bin. Am I bitter? Sure a little but really if I just waited I'd pay less. That's normal.

PS: I don't like Sony much either. I find their stuff to be junk these days.
