Bungie use to be oriented to Apple
Halo was originally an Apple program and I have long speculated that Microsoft purchased Bungie more as a way of harming Apple than of creating a billion dollar baby. Its sale should be viewed as being related to Judge KK and her pending decision regarding the remedies from the last US anti-trust case. There is also the likelihood that the significant opportunities for talent owing to Web 2.0 and multi-processor multi-core mean venture capitalists are way too interested in a Bungie 2.0 startup.
