(Photos: Server room cabling overhaul)

Pointless in the real world...: .. that evolves. We had a cable company refit a server room in my ex-job, and they had everything just like the pictures here. No sooner than they left, it became apparent that it was impossible to maintain in the environment we worked in (education) and tracing leads to their points became impossible.. Off came the velcro ties, and it was back to speghetti in no time.
