It's not just gamers.
It's the 10s of thousands of niche products out there for every conceivable market that only run on windows. Perhaps you've forgotten, but Microsoft was very popular over the last 15 years or so and even though you may not know the names of each vendor, i know first hand there are basically only windows vendors (very high percentage) serving the market in which i work.

Your anecdotal evidence is fine, but there is still a lot of people in the software section each time you visit office max or the electronix boutique etc. There are many business related titles too...specific business related titles beyond Office.
