MS will go down 10 more anti-trust lanes, and use it's entire bank reserves before it allows SOP as all computers come OS free and the user has to openly pay for the OS. The vast majority don't even know Windows != Computer, and that is just the way MS needs it. Hidden paid for cost built as one of their primary cash cows.

For some reason (either the time is just right, or hidden demand or just a need to diversify business models stagnant with only one OS choice), The OEMs are starting to offer Linux OEMed. Dell was a great first step for the technically minded. I hope Lenovo or HP take it a step further and complete the install, tweak the heck out of it, add full multimedia and make it just like Windows, everything works (at delivery) and a ton of great killer apps installed.
