Abramoff
The main point is that Jack Abramoff, a man whose name is synonymous with the corruption of the US central government, was the key man for the Gates family law and lobby firm - as in Bill Gates, former President of Microsoft and 56 billion dollar robber baron. Hats off to the great Judge Penefield Jackson for cluing in the US population to the ways of the Gates family. They are indeed criminal minded.

Even after Abramoff left that firm, he continued to recommend consultants/lobiest/thugs to Brad Chase and his predecessor Bill Neukom at Microsoft. Abramoff eventually was jailed for wire fraud after the mob-style murder of one of the Gates law and lobby firm clients.

The fraud involved that same client. Bill Neukom later went on to bring new lows involving ethical standards to the Washington State and American Bar Associations. Today neither group has any input into the selection of federal judges and, in Washington State, corporate legal officers, can put known or expected liers (like Alchin and Bill Gates) on the stand in courts of law without threat of disbarment - unlike virtually all other states.

This is transnational big business, EU style as in the book "Heart of Darkness" by Conrad. The EU, contrary to this article, still has a monarchy monopoly mind set. The rules still favor kings and robber barons. The USA was designed to operate so differently. Somehow we who reside here forgot that.

Lets not use Zdnet as a form of support for transnational big business corruption of otherwise honest government officials. On the other hand, lets encourage change at Microsoft.

I call for the removal of Brad Chase immediately. Ballmer - the judgment is still delayed. But it is clear to me that Microsoft is to much of a US treasure for it to be looted and shut down. I fear the EU "penulties" and the EU economy that has been built around the Microsoft anti-trust issue (the legal fees") are just a way of looting that US treasure.
