RE: Why you are completely in the dark with your opinions
^^ ???? ^^

if someone years ago burned down a few buildings, but those building have been rebuild in recent years, does he still has to go free and unpunished?

I do not believe in revenge, nor agression. But companies - who ultimately dictate what we eat, drink, and for most hear and see or think in general - that let money rule every tactic they apply is flatly wrong. Just look at things like US health care. Neelie knows this, and she kicks ass to defend the EU from corporate agression. It keeps the EU people more relaxed and healthy in the long run : P

Microsoft made it on purpose almost impossible to remove their beta-beta products of the time so people just used them. As they always just did things. Stating it was an undifferantiating part of the OS. Time prove this to be **llsh*t. They could be removed. But damage had been done.

MS wanted the Internet, and got the www part for several years. Even today, www design=ie design first.
Side note: It's early tactics generated a new sort of OS compatability problem software also faced and still faces. In short: I need 4 browsers, just to be able to do every website I come across... Sigh.

Nelie is not hunting big monopolies, she hunts down corporations who use illegal ways of doing bussiness. So no fixed-price deals with competitors, no unfair tactics to push competition out of the market (yes, Netscape. Because removing IE was just about impossible first year(s), and then only possible for "experts"). Google does not push competition out of the market. Opposite. It likes competition, because competition gives "data". Input, more input indeed Number 5 ; -)

Now these days, if you want, you can remove the browser completely. Or messenger. Or player. Or hotmail. Or ... Unfair and obsolete because times changed? Hell no, all thanks to movements like Neelies'!

That times have become more difficult for MS (which I indeed had been predicting for years, even in 2001; just never thought it to come from Apple! I hardly ever used linux but loved my freebsd :>) has nothing to do with their past way of doing bussinesses. A fine is a perfect way of keeping the market free and mostly in balance. Unfair received money should be given back (and punishments might be given).

Google will not be attacked by Neelie, because Google has a healthy corporate philosophy. No sweating swearing steve balmers on stage, but raw intellect.

We, the Europeans, like it this way. Too bad the Bushies in the world can never see the world this way.
