RE: SCO Group admits it may fold
About time. The current management resuscitated SCO to act as one of those patent / trademark holding companies that add nothing to the business landscape other than fear and litigation. And they didn't even own the rights!

They were there to leech upon other's hard work, and acted as a shill for companies like Microsoft and countless others who have appropriated open technology and then seek to make it proprietary intellectual property. They attacked Linux because it looked like it wouldn't be able to defecd itself, and they attacked IBM because they had big pockets. The Novell thing blindsided them, and I have to admit that this is not how I thought it would turn out. I thought that it would take another 1-2 years for the courts to rule on the IBM lawsuit and it would be resolved that way.

SCO proved itself to be a bunch of rather unintelligent, small-minded 'executives' and lawyers. Unfortunately, other predators not so small minded and dumb still lurk out there. The battle is not over, and the open source wars have not been decided. Let's not let our guard down, the bigger enemies still exist.

Darl McBride is pretty much unemployable now, he should be washing my car in a few years. He's on record as being the dumbest f**k on earth, who would hire him? But I'm sure he'll bail with a nice package in the coming months.
