RE: Man in China dies after three-day Internet session
Are people this easily manipulated? I suppose so...

Anyway, the unwritten assupmtions in the above article are that:

1. A thorough post mortem examination was done to confirm that he did die of "exhaustion" (which is not a recognized cause of death to any bon fide medical professional). And that he did not die of a more conventional illness.

2. The internet was somehow the cause of his death. (Again, I have to ask, "How?")

3. Odf course the news report was presented by an unbiased news source.

The scenario I can imagine most easily is that he was helplessly seduced by the free flow of information on the internet, and when he found himself viewing decadent western web sites featuring the corrupting images of healthy, happy, attractive, and scantily clad women enjoying the benefits of freedom and prosperity that he has never experienced, he was so offended that he died before he could pull himself away from the screen to report it to a party official.

Does this sound believable?

Or could the CCP be trying to justify a crack down on internet access?
