I agree, but...
... fusion has proven to be a tougher nut to crack than we thought. We need power now, and fission plants are tried and proven. It may take another 20-50 years for fusion to become economically feasable, but we can build fission plants now. By the time they are ready for decommission or major refurbishing, fusion should be ready.

As for the other types of clean energy, they can be applied in selected areas. Some (few) areas have geothermal potiental, while others could use wind to supplement their grid. Solar cells have been improving, but still have a ways to go to be cost efficient. You are correct that these sources will not meet our needs, but they can supplement locally.
