1: Nuclear Power is FAR cleaner than coal or gas turbine produced power. Yes it has waste, but compared to the amount of power produced, it is far lower than other forms of power generation. And new reactors are far more efficient than older ones. They can go nearly twice as long without being refueled.

2: Uranium is not that rare. Its a naturally occurring element that is easier to find then diamonds in many cases. Also, there are alternatives to using uranium, such as thorium. Which is four times more common than uranium.

3: Why? Chance are, you have one near your home already. There is 104 operational reactors in the US, and if you have ever been near any Naval ports, most all aircraft carriers and subs in service are powered by nuclear reactors.
