Let Them Pay
Why let companies sell cigerettes over the Internet? How can you be sure that minors are not buying them? Why is there such a big double standard between what the "bricks and mortar" stores and the Internet retailers are required to do? Many states have increased their training and regs regarding the steps that their salesclerks have to go through to sell cigerettes. The bricks and mortar" stores charge sales tax, why can't the "E-tailers charge sales tax. It's the real businesses in are community that are creating the jobs - not some virtual company working out of somebodys garage or some tiny warehouse in a business park. Level the playing field and require that all charge sales tax (and collect it properly). If a certain state does not like that, than repeal your state's sales tax and increase the personal income tax.
