Tesla-Radio-First to invent versus first to file.
Tesla had several radio patents:

U.S. Patent 0,645,576
U.S. Patent 0,723,188
U.S. Patent 0,725,605

In 1943, the Supreme Court of the United States credited him as being the inventor of the radio. (Same year he died and it was after his death). This is a case of the "first to invent versus the first to file."

The basic demonstration of radio was done by Tesla in the 1890s.
