Napster to give away music players

Funny... where was Apple iTunes Europe story???

I must have missed it but earlier this week Apple launched iTunes in Europe with great fan fare and I didn't notice any ZDNet articles (unless it came and dropped off the page within a few minutes during the early morning hours... if so, never mind ). (with apologies to Gilda Radner)

Others, like MS (with OD2) and Napster, pathetically tried to lessen the Apple announcement with their own "news" (and subsequent articles) in the days preceding the iTune's Europe launch.

Now, today, this transparent and pathetic attempt by Napster to buy (music service) market share with a player give away, which somehow rates a news article.

Hmmm... if there was indeed no iTunes Europe mention, it certainly lends credence to charges of an anti-Apple bias on ZDNet's part.

(Coincidently, Apple's stock increased more than $2 (closer to $3?) during this time. Someone must have thought it worthwhile news.)
