not ENOUGH regulations
I have never been FOR more regulations in telco, but recently my elderly mother got a outrageous phonebill. My sister was returning home for vacation and called from Atlanta airport - collect - to let us that the plane was late. A phone call that lasted about 30 seconds! Cost? $36.18!!!! I complained and even wrote the PUC. Nothing can be done - totally legal.

If it looks like a phone, works like a phone, then it IS a phone. How the voices gets from point A to point B doesn't matter.

As far as I'm concerned, phone service is WAY TO EXPENSIVE.
