It's "just fine" that there are no Shuttles running?

Let me get this straight: There is no second source vendors for
the shuttle program, two of them have blown up killing their
crews, it's been grounded now for how long? Two years, longer?
And you call that "just fine?"

i must have misunderstood something. Maybe if there HAD
been two shuttle vendors competing for quality and volume of
build, we wouldn't have had two tragic accidents.

Maybe if there were Linux, MS, Apple and Solaris servers all
online all at once in every shop able to pick up the slack when
one is attacked, then we would have fewer successful attacks.
