Why would solar be any more insecure?
Why would solar WiFi be any more insecure than the WiFi that already exists? Or,
for that matter, any more insecure than accessing the interent through your cable
line?

And there is no communism here ... in fact, this is the free market at work!

If it works and people like it, then Solis Energy will make money by selling these
units to municipalities and municipal internet providers who want to set up Wi Fi
"hot spots" throughout cities.

The consumer would still have to buy the Wi Fi access from the local provider ... in
many municpalities, hydro companies have set up ISP entities that sell wireless
internet access.

As a user, you would have to "sign in" to your Webmail and do the other things
you normally do now. And sure, someone wanting to break into something secure
can maybe figure out how to hack into your password ... but they can do that
now, even with the "wired" connections.

The only difference with widespread WiFi is that it would be cheaper access to the
internet for consumers, which would be great for the marketplace.
