Brilliance is the Drug of Choice

Preston, Gates, and Ellis is of course the firm founded by Bill Gate's father and the firm's key man was Abramoff. The names of Preston and Ellis are blameless. These names were purchased owing to the fact that much of the employment law in Washington state is owing to the efforts of the men behind those names and the firm they had created. The Gates family hoped those names would be valuable in settling with the Microsoft permatemps which I think happened. The permatemps, many who I know, were all paid less than they should have gotten.

Abramoff recommended consultants to Bill Neukom while he sat in Brad Chase's chair at Microsoft. Bill Neukom went back to Preston Gates and Ellis when Chase took over. Chase worked in DC prior to that, where of course Abramoff applied the methods learned from Neukom to the Bush Administration. This story needs to be told to our children and our children's children. Bill Neukom, as president of the American Bar Association has advanced the legal profession to an ethical position below HMO administrator.

It is with brilliance (con brio) that I note that Barclay's Bank is one of the biggest losers in the recent market decline. With Preston Gates and Ellis having done the honorable thing (death by merger) we can now rag on all things Barclay. Patty Dunn sat on a board of directors at Barclay Global Investors while serving on the Board of HP.

Lets just hypothesize on the state of affairs in the USA. Rather than slave ownership, we have now foreign-nationals, who while paid well are not likely to blog or behave as the American Born. It is as American as Apple Pie to rag on wrong doers and suspected wrong doers. I am not certain of the reference to the Hollocoust. Larry Ellison is Jewish. I have been portrayed as his lackey - but seriously I have no feelings for or against the man. I work with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server daily. You probably have me confused with some other US Patriot.
