ferrite core memory
Ah, Bi-Stable Ferro-Magnetic Core Memory (Bi-Mag). Western Electric, Burroughs, RCA and others made large cicuit cards that were cram full of little bi-mags. I have one card that is 20"x9" that has 1000 bi-mags (1K of RAM).
