Nice Try ... Kiddo :o)
Actually, there are a lot of rights that do apply to coportations and private citizens.

You have a right to privacy with regard to your medical history, and your social security number. Both corporations and individuals have rights to proctect their financial information. There are consumer privacy rights on the books, child privacy rights, ... etc., etc., etc. And of course, online privacy.

Heck, there's even a right to protect your social security number -- you can refuse to give it. But try to get through a college or a job without divulging it.

But I wouldn't have expected you to know that. I guess I do agree with you about having to know your rights before you can defend them. It's too bad that you are so willing to give them up.

Incidentally, we've always had the RIGHT to defend ourselves from trespass and theft. It's just that the law makers can't keep up with the technology -- and whether prompting you for personal information is theft when a person doesn't realize the full implications of what they are providing.
